Lucy plays the hostage in the newly released action film, "Rescue."  The story follows her gruelling release from capture and how she copes being held hostage.  Lucy is very excited to be making her debut performance moving into film from the popular soap opera WestEnders, where we all watched her grow into the amazing actress that she is today playing rogue teen Molly Mcfly.  We're very happy to help Lucy along by featuring her on our first cover page.

ACTOR  

Ollie plays the protagonist in the film "Rescue." He plays a character called Oscar Castillo, who rescues a vulnerable hostage from the evil terrorist organisation "WPI."  We all know Ollie from his previous role in Fast and Furious 10" and know that his enthusiasm for this genre of film always delivers!  This film is not to be missed but check out our interview with Ollie to hear for yourself.  We're privileged to have Ollie help us launch our premier issue.

We were lucky enough to catch up with her for a quick chat at the film premier last week.

 

1. How have you found the switch from acting in a soap opera to a film?

At first it was really different as the soap schedules move much faster than a film but I quickly got used to it and really enjoyed the change.

2. What is like working with Ollie Matthews?

He’s great. I have really enjoyed working with the whole team, everyone made me feel so welcome.

3. What inspired you to get into acting?

I really enjoyed drama at school and my teachers encouraged me to join a theatre school, where I really caught the acting bug.

 

4. You were only young when you started acting, what was it like growing up in the public eye?

My childhood was definitely different from most people’s but I wouldn't change it for the world. I have been privileged enough to do lots of amazing things and meet some fabulous people. 

 

5. You had some great action sequences in Rescue, did you do your own stunts?

No, I have an amazing stunt double called Liza who does all my stunts for me…she made it look so easy!

 

6. Do you read magazines often?

As I am often travelling, I always take a magazine on the plane with me to help the journey go quicker.

 

7. Who is your idol?

My mum and dad are my biggest idols, they always support me and I look up to them both so much…they help keep me grounded and stop me getting too big for my boots!

 

8. Who is your idol in the film industry?

Keira Knightley,  I’ve been back and watched all her films, right back to Bend it like Beckham, she’s so talented, I’d love to act with her one day.

 

9. What film last made you cry?

Titanic, it gets me everytime!

 

10. What is your favourite film of all time?

High School Musical 2. I just love all the catchy tunes

 

11. How long did it take to film rescue?

We started last winter, I guess the shoot in all took about 14 months

 

12. How did you find out that you were going to be in rescue?

I got the call when I was on set at WestEnders, it was very exciting as I’d always wanted to move into the film industry

 

13. If you could be in one film, what film would it be?

I would have loved to have been in the High School Musical films, although I’m not sure my singing is up to Disney’s standards!

 

14. What is the first thing you do in the morning?

I’m a social media addict so I check my phone as soon as I’m awake

 

15. What is the last thing you do before you go to bed?

[Lucy laughs] check my social media!

 

16. Ok now for some quick fire facts; Winter or summer?

Summer

 

17. Favourite food?

Chocolate - I’m a chocoholic

 

18. Fine dining or takeaway?

Takeaway in my pjs! I’m a comfy girl at heart

 

19. Good film or good book?

I love to loose myself in a good book

 

20. Snapchat or Instagram?

Got to be Instagram

 

21. Beach holiday or City break?

Beach holiday

 

22. What is on your bucket list?

I like the idea of sky-diving but I’m not sure I’m brave enough

 

23. What country would you most like to visit?

I’d love to travel round Australia

 

24. Do you have a hidden talent?

I can touch my nose with my tongue!

 

25. How do you want to be remembered?

For being kind…we need more kindness in the world
